Announcement on the Rules of Supported Leverage for New Users of Huobi Futures

Dear valued users,

Digital asset derivatives are special products with investment value. Their prices are affected by many factors and fluctuate greatly. Investors may not comprehensively grasp the market and do not have enough capability against risks in actual trading, and therefore investment miss may go along with.

In order to maintain stability for market and reduce risks to investors, Huobi Futures will execute new leverage rules at 3:00 am on Mar. 30, 2021 (UTC) and only support maximum 5X leverage for new users who activate the account after this time. Meanwhile, Huobi Futures will apply the appraisal for the risk-managing ability and risk tolerance for new users after their one-month activation and may adjust the maximum supported leverage based on the assessment results.

Note: The supported leverages for coin-margined futures, coin-margined swaps and USDT-margined swaps are separated. That’s to say, if users have already activated the account of a certain contract type, or held a position, or placed an order before this rule takes effect, the contract type will not be limited by the leverage rules. And certainly, the new rule of leverage will be effective for those who activate their contract accounts after new rule executed.

For example, to user A who has activated the account of coin-margined futures before this rule takes effect, he/she could be able to use the maximum leverage that the platform supports for coin-margined futures. After the rule executed, if user A activates the account of either coin-margined swaps or USDT-margined swaps, the platform will only support maximum 5X leverage for these two contract types, however the originally supported leverage for coin-margined futures will not be affected. (New sub-accounts of the account that has activated the corresponding contract trading will not be affected by this rule.)
